Privacy in the digital age shouldn’t be a slow process, but for many of us, it was. The origin of Screenify was born from a constant frustration: every time I needed to share a screenshot of an admin panel, a workflow, or a design in development, I was forced to perform a tedious extra step. I had to save the image, open an external photo editor, pixelate or cover sensitive data (such as emails, tokens, or names), and only then could I send it.

This “traditional” workflow was not only inefficient, but it also completely broke the rhythm of communication with my team or clients. I felt there was a lack of a tool that allowed me to edit the browser’s reality before capturing it. That is how I devised Screenify, a Chrome extension designed to intervene directly in the DOM or on the web’s visual layer, allowing specific elements to be hidden natively and fluidly.

With Screenify, I eliminated the need for post-processing. Now, I simply select what I don’t want to be seen, hide it with a click, and take the screenshot. It is a solution thought up by a developer for any professional who values their time and the confidentiality of their data. It isn’t just a capture tool; it is a real-time privacy filter that turns a three-minute process into a three-second one.
